Write Your Book

Write Your Book
6 Week Online Program

Are you desiring to turn your story, message, or method into a book?

Deana Hoover and Rachel Archelaus (me) are excited to guide you through the process of writing your first draft and helping you decide how to proceed on the path to publication.

We’re both experienced publishers and authors, and Deana has a decade of teaching and coaching book writing under her belt. In fact, she was my book coach!

If you’d feel accomplished and inspired by getting your book written this year, register for this thorough yet gentle course.

We’re teaching it together and offering you industry-aligned advice along with the infrastructure to help you feel cocooned as you complete something that most people give up on.

Here’s an overview of the course:

Class Outline

Week 1: Set Yourself up for Success

You’ll learn how to define your project so that you connect with it on a deep level. This helps when you’re in the tough part of actually writing it! You’'ll learn key mindsets to develop, how to make writing a sacred space, and how to create your writing schedule so it doesn’t overwhelm you. You’ll do some Intuitive Art drawings to get easy answers to who your ideal reader is and more.

Week 2: Getting Ready to Write

In this section you’ll create your book’s outline. You will also discover what research needs to be done, how to do it, and how to visualize the setting, characters, and flow of the book. This applies even if you’re writing nonfiction/memoir! Intuitive Art will once again help you get clarity.

Week 3: Start Writing Like a Published Author

Woah! You’re writing a book! Here’s how to do it so your message comes across with flair, clarity, and just how you want it to be received. It’s not common sense but luckily we can show you how! Intuitive Art will help you see your book in three dimensions so it’s easier to give your readers a full sensory experience.

Week 4: How to Overcome Frustration and Writer’s Block

Maybe you’ve tried writing this book before or maybe this is your first time. Inevitably, you’ll get frustrated. This week is about how to deal with those emotions and get past them in a gentle way. We’ll also expand on how to write a great book. Here, Intuitive Art will help you stay inspired.

Week 5: All about Editing and Publishing

As you continue to write your book, you’ll probably want to stop and edit. This week will explain why finishing the first draft unedited is key to your success, but also what an editor actually does. You’ll also learn more about how to improve your writing. You’ll use Intuitive Art as needed to keep your focus up.

Week 6: Holy cow, you wrote a BOOK! Now what?

This class celebrates YOU! It also talks about what your options are for publishing it. We’ll go through getting it bound at an office store all the way to finding an agent. We’ll go in-depth on printing, distribution, sales, and our specific recommendations for your project. You’ll use Intuitive Art to help you find the next best step for you and your book.

(Don’t know Intuitive Art? That’s OK - we’ll send you a short, free class ahead of time. Or just don’t use it. We’ll give you other options for finding clarity and ease)

Details:

  • Every class is pre-recorded so you can participate at your convenience
  • There will be an online portal for easy communication and organization
  • The tuition is $497
  • You keep lifetime access to the course

With Deana and me as your guides, you’ll be amazed at how much you can accomplish without the overwhelm (and possible terror!) that usually accompanies this task.

You’ll also feel SO amazing in the end knowing you’ve created something that will continue on as your legacy.

If you’re feeling a combination of excitement, nerves, and fidgetiness: you’re ready!
